While at the couches, I over heard another fellow Marching Virginian exclaim that if you type into google "i am extremely" then google will give you options to finish that statement...this was one of them:

Yes, I am extremely terrified of chinese people is an option to finish that statement...do people often type that in to google?! That just made me giggle, and I wanted to share.

Kevin and I haven't seen each other much recently. So I was excited for all our plans for the Valentine's Day weekend. We did have the whole weekend, not just Saturday! :)

On Friday we caught up on tivoed TV shows. Yeah, I know, very romantic. But it needed to be done! We did get a lot watched. He told me if I stayed until after mid-night I could have my Valentine's Day present! So naturally I wanted to stay to get it, then he gave me crap that the only reason I was still there (I was super tired) was to get the present. He's just mean, right? Well, I got my present! It was a gorgeous necklace! (as I'm sure you can see) I was surprised even though I already knew about it! He had found it during the Christmas season, hesitated on getting it, showed it to me, it was out of stock. So I told him to get it for me for Valentine's Day! Totally forgot about it. Didn't even think that was an option to what he was getting me. He always bugs me about what I want, I never know, and I noticed he didn't ask me this time. So I wasn't sure what he was getting me! Also, he kept telling me he didn't have time to get my present, and it was getting closer and closer to Valentine's day and he still didn't have it. Then came Friday and I knew he still hadn't gotten it. So I was confused on Friday night when he told me I could have my present after midnight...the tricky dude went and got it during lunch on Friday! He had an away message up as lunch, and I never asked him anything about lunch! (much to his relief) But, I love my necklace. It's gorgeous! It also goes great with the earrings he got me as a surprise years ago! (I love random presents :P)

On the actual Valentine's Day we went to the Vintage Cellar for wine tastings. There were a few yummy wines! We ended up getting a wine...I forget what kind...but it is from Portugal and is a light summery white wine.

Around 4:30 we decided to get to dinner. I was NOT thinking! Outback is never busy at 4:30 any other day...it's Valentine's Day, there is a two and a half hour wait! Naturally...we put our names down to have dinner at 7:30 and went to hang out at the mall and get a snack (hungry!). Around 7:15, after playing a game of Price is Right on my ipod, and singing into Kevin's iphone, we went in to Outback, and told them we were there for our 7:30 seating. 7:30 came and went. 8:00 came and went. 8:30 came and went. I talked Kevin in going up to the front to find out when we would be seated. He came back saying it'd be another 45-60 minutes. I lost it...I was so hungry, I was so tried of waiting, and I just wanted a freakin' Thunder from Down Under! We were debating on if we should leave or not when our buzzer went off. What!? I didn't care. We raced to get our tables, and we finally got our foods! The thunder from down under was fantastic! I felt much better after I ate. I just learned my lesson about eating out on Valentine's Day. Don't eat at a place that has call ahead, eat at a place that has actual reservations! ...or make dinner at home.

That wasn't it for Valentine festivities! Sunday we went to Chateau Morrisette! Kevin found a Wine and Chocolate pairing tasting thing. It was very interesting. I think my favorite was Frosty Dog and the White Chocolate Cranberry Bark. And I don't like Frosty Dog (a very sweet white dessert wine) or White Chocolate. But together...they aren't too shabby! I wasn't a fan of the Merlot and Dark Chocolate Raspberry Truffle. It was so interesting how the wine and the chocolate went together! And how the same piece of chocolate could taste so different with different wines. I highly recommend going to any sort of wine/chocolate pairing in your area! I appreciate Kevin for taking me! :)

On the way back we stopped at an overlook along the blue ridge parkway. I'm pretty sure where we were looking was the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains and we were looking over the Piedmont. Had it been more clear, we could have seen for hundreds of miles!

It wasn't the clearest day, but it was still an amazing view!

When we got back, we had a quick dinner and I had to get back to reality because in a short hour we had a TBSigma meeting.

It was a fantastic weekend. I love you Kevin!

CRUISE!

Kevin and I, thanks (much, HUGE THANKS) to his dad, are going on a cruise for Spring Break. It leaves March 9th from Miami, and is a four night/five day cruise to Key West, Coco Cay, and Nassau! It's Kevin's first cruise and my fifth. I'm quite excited, for it is my first with out my parents! Not that I don't enjoy the cruises I go on with my parents, I just know this cruise will be different!

On the way down, we'll drive to St. Augustine, FL and stop for the night, before continuing the next morning to Miami. After we get back from the cruise we'll be heading up to Charleston, and staying in the most fabulous King George IV Inn. It's a bed and breakfast that we stayed in for a couple nights when we went to Charleston for my 20th birthday! They were so awesome, so naturally we want to stay there again. He also suggested we go to Boone Hall Plantation again. It was the house Allie stayed at in the Notebook. Awesome house, beautiful, very picturesque!

I'll definitely have a bunch of stories and pictures to show and tell after this trip! We're leaving in 20 days, and I just can not wait! :D

I woke up this morning, and it was snowing really hard. It looked like a thousand of tiny snowballs being thrown to the ground. It really was falling that hard. It looked gorgeous and I was looking forward to going outside before it all melted. Unfortunely it slowly got warmer, and by the time I got outside, it was raining with sleet mixed in and all the snow had turn into a layer of slush. My entire driveway was covered with a half an inch of it, and I had to walk down it to get to my car. Eek! (My drive way is completely down hill) So I walked enough of the way down the driveway so I could get into the yard and walk down the grass and not worry about slipping. Then I ran out of yard and had to go back onto the slippery driveway and of course I almost slipped on my butt. Luckily I caught myself! I thought my footprints looked kinda neat, so I took a picture!
