July 25th, 2008 -- Friday -- Date night! Kevin and I went to Red Robin for dinner, and then saw Step Brothers. Red Robin was yummy, I got a free burger coupon for my birthday from Red Robin, so I let Kevin get the free burger and I got the yummy chicken quesadilla. We walked over to the movie theater to get the movie tickets, and back to the car in the Red Robin parking lot. I had wedge shoes on, so that much walking...ouch! Kevin wanted to go to Target to get a new leatherman tool. His got taken away at the airport in San Francisco. Lame! After walking around the parking lot, and target, my feet were dying. We had more time to kill, so we went into the mall, and had to walk to the opposite side to go to the shoe store to get flip flops. I just couldn't walk in those shoes any longer, I don't know how other women do it, wearing heels all day, walking around. Crazy!!! So I got some cute, sparkly, teal flip flops so I could actually walk! We walked back across the mall and over to the theater. The movie was alright. I think the very beginning and the very end were hilarious. The middle was...eh. Though if you like Will Ferrell, you'll like the movie.
July 26, 2008 -- Saturday -- Sarah and Greg's Wedding! Kevin and I left for Roanoke at about 2:30 to get there at a reasonable time for the wedding, which started at 4. Let me just tell you now, I hate it when people are late. HATE IT! Huge pet peeve. So I will show the same courtesy as I expect at my wedding, by getting there at a reasonable time. Anyway, we got there, and waited to go into the hall, and saw JJ. JJ, Kevin and I all sat together, we only knew each other, other than who was in the wedding party. Sarah's dress was so gorgeous, and it was a beautiful ceremony. After the ceremony we all got in our cars and headed over to where the reception was. It was only just down the road, pretty easy to get to. It was so pretty! We ate snacks while we waited for the wedding party to arrive. Then it was just a fun filled reception with great food (Fajita's!!!), dancing, and lots of class clinking for Sarah and Greg to kiss. Very lovely. :)
July 27, 2008 -- Sunday -- MY BIRTHDAY!!! Awesome day! Sarah and JJ came by and gave me 21 airplane bottles of different liquors. Ooo! That was nice, and I took them downstairs and showed them the basement and bar. Later Kevin came over and we played pool until my dad and brother got back from New Jersey. They brought my presents from the grandparents! I unboxed my Vera Bradley stuff that matched my new glasses! :) We also had cup cakes. Yum! Afterward, Kevin and I headed out to PK's to meet everyone for my birthday celebration! 21st birthday...naturally there would be drinking. My godparents met me at PK's to buy me my first drink! Rum and Coke. I am a slow drinker, and it took forever for me to get through that drink. But, that's just me! We had yummy pizza and Brian bought me a Sprite and Vodka. After I finished that, we headed down to Champs. The bartender gave me what is called a Gooey Cooter...I'm not sure what was in it, but it was Peachy, and it was GOOD! We played a bit of pool, and then hung out some and I watched some other people play darts. I didn't think it was a good idea for me to throw something sharp. During all this I had a Fun Dip shooter with Tank, Dre got me a Screwdriver, and Stephen got me a Coke and Kahlua. I also realized how awesome Brittney was! Eventually I decided I did want to throw some darts, just for fun. At the end of the night I was very happy, not drunk drunk, and ready to go home and sleep! It was an awesome night!!!! :)

August 1, 2008 -- Friday -- Steppin' Out!!! I love Steppin' Out. I look forward to it every year. It is the reason why the first weekend in August is so awesome! The night before I had gone out to PK's for the Tijuana Toss, where you flip a coin and call it, and if you call it right you get it for free! We ended up getting one for free, out of two, not bad! But I didn't stay out too late since I had to be back downtown at 6 the next morning to start help setting up my mom's booth! I ended up being downtown from 6:30 am - 10:30 pm! As boring as it can get sometimes, it is definitely fun. I like being able to sit there and watch everyone walk by...even judging some...but they bring that to themselves. My mom got us all Steppin' Out shirts! I usually wait to get it until the end, and then there are none left and I have to get children sizes. Which isn't too bad, because they're cheaper. So I was glad my mom got them right away. Kevin joined us later in the day and we walked around some. I got a pretty teal bracelet, and Kevin got me some tie-dye hokie yoga pants. AWESOME!!! After the day was over, we zipped up the booth and headed home to crash!
August 2, 2008 -- Saturday -- Steppin' Out Day 2!! It wasn't too early of a morning. But the forecast was calling for a bunch of storms to pass over! My mom and I went up to another booth to get my hair braided with a pretty hokie ribbon. Shortly after it started thundering and then came the rain! It rained off and on all morning. But on toward the afternoon it started getting sunnier and everyone came out! It was a nice second day. Saw some people I haven't seen in a while, saw some people I didn't want to see, but hey...that's Steppin' Out! People who are not from the area, really don't understand how great of an event Steppin' Out really is. You just have to be from here to get it! :)
August 3, 2008 -- Sunday -- Slower day. I did work, I went on-site for a couple hours at the Inn, but all in all it was a pretty relaxing day. Later I hung out with Kevin and we watched the Wedding Singer. In the special features, there are some songs you can sing along with, and I sang along to "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic." Kevin thought it was so cute he had me sing into the mic and recorded it. I had fun singing along to the song, and I love that song! When we finished we went to Macado's for the half off Pop's Sundae special! Yum!

***Stay tuned for an update about my ipod touch arriving tomorrow!!!!***
Yes, I finally got my iPod Touch. I'm quite excited about it. Yesterday, after waiting all morning and a little into the afternoon, Kevin finally tells me..."I have a present for you!" YAY! I raced over to his work to pick it up. My brand new...well, refurbished, 16gb iPod Touch had finally arrived!!! All thanks to Kevin! :) I got it from him at his work, and planned on grabbing something real quick to eat for lunch before opening it. Kevin decided to go with me! We get to Wendy's and there is like a million and 1 people in there and in the drive thru. I'm too lazy to go across the street to Taco Bell, so we stayed put. It was so hard to stand there, knowing my iPod Touch was waiting for me to tare into the box and play with it! We finally get our food, I drop Kevin off at work and I race to my work to unbox my iPod Touch! What do I do first? Eat my lunch. Kevin was astounded. I didn't want it to get cold! After I finished my burger, I turn on the video in photo booth and record my unboxing of my ipod!
Sorry it's turned around and the sound sucks, because I was at work, and I didn't want to talk very loud.
Anyway, I turn it on, plug it in, and it tells me to register it. Sure, whatever. I do that, and sync it all up. But the damn registration page won't go away! (As I type this, I realize the original picture had the registration page open, with my address, and cell phone number all there for everyone to see and stalk me with...so I am quickly deleting that picture, and switching it to another one...oops!) So I unplug the iPod Touch from the computer, and replug it. That brings up the new 2.0.1 available page, and I buy the software and it does its thing. So finally, an hour and a half later, I have everything synced up and ready to go!
This is what my iPod Touch looks like when you turn it on...yay!
Some notes on that...naturally I have twitterrific on there, and I made a plurk icon to go to the mobile plurk page. Day Bank is the only App I've paid for so far. I just thought it would be really useful keeping track of my day to day purchases, and I can keep track on my cash. Tasks I thought would be a good App to keep track of what I need to do with classes, MVs, and TBS. The Facebook App is great! I love all the things you can do with it just like on the regular webpage. I have some random games and other apps on the other pages.
Today I was playing jawbreaker, and I managed to get all of the same color to touch eachother at once, and I was really excited, so I took a screenshot of that!
I showed my iPod Touch to Joanne at work today. She didn't know what an iPod Touch was, or an iPhone. So I told her about it, and showed her some of the features. She was impressed with the flicks between the different pages of icons.
I've been watching podcasts, tv shows, listening to music and playing with my iPod Touch so much these past two days. I love it, and so glad I finally decided to get one, and so SO HAPPY that Kevin got it for me! Yay!
That's all for now!

Too cool to not note. :) Happy Olympics!!! I love watching the gymnastics, I'm looking forward to it!

P.S. My reaction to the opening ceremony is simply: Holy F*ck that is F*cking Awesome!!!
I love avatars. I think they are so much fun. Especially to create. Yesterday I started to notice that some people on twitter had cartoon like profile pictures, and they seemed to have the same style. They were all pretty cute, so I inquired where I could find the site to make these! @campo informed me to go to this site.
I went right away to create my fun avatar!

I think it's kinda sorta close to what I look like. Including my new Vera Bradley glasses! :)
Here are some other's on twitter:

So you can have a bunch of different styles with these. They even have it where you can add hand signals, masks, tattoos, face piercings...you got it, they probably have it. I've made it my buddy picture on Adium too! I think it is a lot better than my previous avatar I had up, where I used the AIM avatar tool...I think...
So, that is my little excitement about that! :) You can also pay to have your avatar printed out in a little poster. Which is kind of cool...only I wouldn't want to pay for it. But hey, they gotta make their money somewhere!
Also, I have to add that I love the popSiren bites! If you're not familiar with it, check it out. Especially the one from August 12th, it's pretty funny, and I might have to get me a pair of those! ;)
