But not really, because Florida isn't really counted as a "Southern State."
I finally made it to Ft. Lauderdale though! YAY!
Our plane finally came and we all got out into this dinky little "terminal" and saw we were going to get on a dinky little plane. (SCARY!)

So we get on the plane and there is a tiny aisle and a row of single seats on the right and a row of double seats on the left. S-M-A-L-L. They even made us get our dinner before we got on the plane because there wouldn't be enough room to serve it when every one was on the plane!

That last photo...ew...first of all, it smelled horrible! It made my stomach turn just smelling it...then looking at it was another story. And my stomach was already rolling because of how small the plane turned out to be!
It was neat though because they left the door to the cockpit open for us to see and go up and talk to the pilots if we wanted. Which we did. I went up with Kaitlyn and Katie, it was Katie's first flight! She told the head pilot that it was her first flight, and the head pilot says, "It's my first flight too!" We laughed nervously.

It was a pretty view from the window as we left Roanoke!

I also got a shot of Charleston, SC from the plane, but it didn't turn out too well. After Charleston we went over the ocean and I couldn't see anything out of my window but vast blackness...and an occasional cruise ship. That's what I get for sitting on the east side!
Landing we had to go through clouds, and that was pretty scary. Seeing thick, white clouds go very fast by the windows was very unsettling, not to mention the fact that the plane was shaking like crazy from the turbulence. I was freaking out! But we did land!

I tried getting my mom or brother to do the Richard Nixon impression...you know the two peace signs and all that. No luck.
We got to the hotel with enough time to throw stuff in rooms and get down to practice...great...no pool party for us.

That was our hotel in the background.
Since all that we've just been chilling in our room. Watching football and the sorts. Oh! And I got the hoodie, t-shirt, and mesh shorts we got for the game. So yay free stuff!
Happy New Year!!!
